true icc is a kenyan court. all kenyans irrespective of their position must respect. constitution must kept. all who have cases at icc must step aside

Dennis Karanja • 11 years ago

I think; Thinking of development and electing Leader regardless of their root but in regard to their Credibility and integrity would do kenya better to enhance completion of Kibakis development efforts rather than think of Justice that we expect from court that no one knows its basis. We Kenyans, are to blame ourselves cos we elected them, we now have learned from out previous mistakes....!

God is the true judge the world is so corrupt but whoever is innocent God will surely protect them

Chikombe • 11 years ago

The time has come, it is no longer a movie, nor is it a fiction. It is real; the victims will at last have their last laugh.

Jack James • 11 years ago

Truth wil b known especially when we get 2 God who is the final judge.Worldly judges may be wrong.

Keny@n • 11 years ago

For those of us here who kept saying that this would never happen, well there it is. Witness names can never be kept hidden. Every defendant must know his/her accuser regardless of how threatened they feel.

Murie • 11 years ago

Who is an IDP?Ask any of them where they were living and to identify their neighbours?.For your information they will not.If they had land and don't want to go back, then hand over the land to the government and they will be compensated adequately. My neighbor has a 4acre Land and some have sold on willing buyer, willing seller and they have bought land elsewhere. The same people are claiming that they have nowhere to move, resorting to makeshift camps. The govt. should close all this makeshift camps immediately otherwise they should lead govt officials to their residential areas before any compensation.

Chrisantus Wekesa • 11 years ago

I blame the Government for not putting in place a mechanism that would have enabled them identify genuine IDPS. I believe there is no genuine IDP who owned land that has not either returned to his/her home or sold the land on willing buyer willing seller basis. 90% of this people in the camps are simply opportunists out to make money from the public and from Foreign doners.

I would kindly ask Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to hasten the prosecution of these (Ruto & Kenyatta) people, as who were killed their bones are turning in their graves waiting for the judgement, before the next election. Please Madam Fatou Bensouda do the needful so that justice can be seen to have been done.

Keny@n • 11 years ago

I really do not understand this prayer. Bensouda actually has no powers to do anything other than make allegations and try prove them which is a whole other story.
Maybe pray to the judges instead. And understanding the concept of beyond reasonable doubt, pray to God instead.

ngaii • 11 years ago

Their bones wont rest until those who killed them are brought to justice. But right now, they still roam in our midst free men, if the story by the Sunday Nation is anything to by. As it is there is always the risk they could strike again. So I wont hold my breathe.

jakogelo • 11 years ago

Are these truthful witnesses or pathological lies .It makes no sense to claim that people can meet in café's and other public to plan clandestine activities when they even have private offices with boardrooms .It surely beats all logic .

ngaii • 11 years ago

The tragedy of the matter is we are doing nothing about those who carried the actual crime of murder, rape and hoping ICC will resolve the danger lying in our midst.

Alfotula • 11 years ago

"Mr Kenyatta says that April 1, 2011, Witness 11 told a member of his defence support team that there had been “an attempt by ODM to induce the two witnesses to cross-over and testify” for the prosecution". Be very careful, Sir. The ICC is not Makadara. Anything you say will resurface at the trial. I hope you have eveidence related to this very serious allegation.

Keny@n • 11 years ago

Wrong. UK can allege anything without having to prove it. He is a defendant. The onus is on the prosecution to prove his statement wrong. And I can nearly bet they do not want to go that route.

Summary_1 • 11 years ago

Kenyans cannot solve their own problems. They have to involve foreigners to solve their own problems. No wonder you are taken for granted wherever you go.You sold your own brothers and sisters to slavery and during colonisation your colonial masters used you to kill, devide and rule over your very own and now you have taken your own to be judged in foreign soil. You are a nation of haters, idiots & retards.

daniel • 11 years ago

please Kenyan, why not let thing go it alone, till proven, many people I think can sell Kenya to the west, be careful Kenyan. why I said this its because the young people them selve accepted to be used.

Pit-bull • 11 years ago

What I care is justice for my beloved Wanjiku. She bore the brunt of political brutality and from time immemorial has never secured justice in Kenya which is only meant for the haves. Whether the four are innocent or guilty that is for the court decide based on evidence that will be adduced in court. Wanjiku you deserve justice and just hoping gone will be days when you will be crest fallen and left at the mercy of God.

ngaii • 11 years ago

Those who raped, killed and destroyed are still free among us. Read Sunday Nation 5th August 2012 story by a victim of the PEV.

Jim Kinuthia • 11 years ago

madam Bensouda, can we hav the names too?

Alfotula • 11 years ago

OTP-4, OTP-11 and OTP-12. Those are the names. When trials start, you will see their images 'live' in court.

Keny@n • 11 years ago

Oh, believe you me, the names are already in the public domain.

ngaii • 11 years ago

Not a chance.

plasmodium falciparum • 11 years ago

Oh man, remember the days when we would ride around partying at prayer rallies? Dancing and singing and throwing around some harmless hate speech... The whole country was with us. Tuko Pamoja! Those were awesome times. I miss those times.

CK Njuguna • 11 years ago

Ha ha... I miss those times too man!!

Maina Chege • 11 years ago

Uhuru Is Innocent. We don't need a kangaroo court from Europe to proof to us what is obvious. If he was a real suspect he would be out on bail.Otherwise stop this ICC nonsense and let us focus on issues of national importance like....fighting Al-shabaab and feeding the hungry marginalized Kenyans.

Mukhtar Abdi Ogle • 11 years ago

Bw Chege, the death/destruction by the Al-shabab is the same as the criminal charges facing the suspects of crime against humanity: killing, maiming and visiting terror on poor Kenyans in-search of political power.
Excuse of AL-shabaab threat is a smoke-screen to subvert justice and evade the issues.
Let us pray for both the suspects as well as the victims in this national shame.
Focus on the critical components of the conversation too.

Oralpower • 11 years ago

Have Al-shabaab killed more people than what your god is being accused of?

Guest • 11 years ago

Here's the Kenyan truth on all politically related cases: If s/he is ours, s/he is innocent, if s/he is not ours, then s/he is guilty. That's our sick our country is. Just my generalization but I'll stick by it.

Musa Musee • 11 years ago

I have heard of public servants being requested to step aside from office while investigations are going on. Though ICC is not under Kenyan judicial jurisdiction, Kenya subscribes to the court. As a layman, I think it would have been sensible for UK to be out of all public offices untill the case is over. It is a shame that a person suspected of organising mass murder is my country's DPM and vying to be Head of State. CJ please..

Obie Mwendapole • 11 years ago

In Kenya the "mighty" never resign or step aside when their conduct is under question. They stay put in the name of impunity.

Chamigili • 11 years ago

Yeah it is shame!!!!!

JohnAchima • 11 years ago

Well put. moreso how can one who does not respect the law....................... no need to say because they are overtly adamant on their ambition

RM73 • 11 years ago

i know our comment are incited by tribal bigotry and fear of Mr. kenyatta political clout, i know the young man will be cleared as time goes by.

kenjadi • 11 years ago

"Our comment" ndugu Robert? I think it's always safer to speak about "my comment" and not ascribe ill motives to others. I don't know @MMusa2843, and maybe s/he is a tribal bigot; but I read what he has written and on the face of it, makes sense...that is until one looks at it from a bigoted position, either side!

Rodney1 • 11 years ago

Well just to let you know the ICC is a Kenyan Court check your facts and the constitution!

basilbrave • 11 years ago

I would never wish what Uhuru, Ruto, Muthaura and Sang are going through to anyone. Basically their entire family are on trial with them and nobody knows for sure whether it will be a happy or sad ending. Its already very frustrating for the four and no matter what happens, their lives wont be the same!

Oralpower • 11 years ago

Neither the IDP's.

Guest • 11 years ago

These guys are not suffering. They are eating better than you. Two of them are even campaigning for presidency. Go visit the victims of the chaos and their relatives and you will indeed know those who are suffering.

ngaii • 11 years ago

While those who raped and killed are roaming free among us, perhaps waiting to strike again, while we concentrate on ICC. The real victims did not see the ICC suspects, they met their fate through their neighbors and their children friends, who they still see around free. And regardless of the ICC outcome the criminals around them will always be a constant reminder of the night mare they put them through. Is that justice really?

Victor Ndiema • 11 years ago

And how those who suffered in Kamiti, Shimo La Tewa under Moi Rule. You must be so young to think that these folks are suffering. The only persons suffering is Sang and to some extend Muthaura, the rest are just having good time campaigning and dividing the country with their prayer rallies

Kips • 11 years ago

That is a fact!!

plasmodium falciparum • 11 years ago

I would never wish what the IDPs are going through to anyone. Basically their entire family are homeless, and traumatized and nobody knows for sure whether it will be a happy or sad ending. Its already very frustrating for them and no matter what happens, their lives wont be the same!

Bonnie Wa Maina • 11 years ago

Can you adopt the name patriotic b2in proud and Kenya bcos that's what you are. Kudos man

Guest • 11 years ago

I like that.

jdagoo24 • 11 years ago

just go and get the real culprits....

royao • 11 years ago

We have waited for those courageous witnesses to come forward.....They might end up being the former advisers of the powerful....that is why they have started panicking and moving forward with a different evidence....let us be ready for rude shocks

Kilimendi Mjukuu Wa Maasai • 11 years ago

Bensouda should now listen to Tony Gachoka.

JohnAchima • 11 years ago

Will this help to vindicate your friends?
